Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) with Nicole Scotto, LMHC
At Balanced Life Therapy Group, we are proud to offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) as part of our integrative mental health services. This powerful, emerging modality combines the therapeutic effects of ketamine with the guidance and support of a licensed mental health counselor to create a unique opportunity for healing, insight, and transformation.
What is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy?
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy is a treatment approach that involves the use of low-dose ketamine, a legal, FDA-approved medication, in conjunction with psychotherapy. Ketamine has been shown to support neuroplasticity, reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety, and create a temporary shift in consciousness that allows clients to explore their inner world in new and meaningful ways.
During a KAP session, clients enter a relaxed and often expanded state of awareness, which can help unlock deeper emotional processes, gain perspective on past experiences, and connect with a greater sense of self-compassion and purpose. This experience is always facilitated in a safe, supportive therapeutic setting.
